JAMMU, Feb 17: A National Exhibition of Paintings was organised by Jammu & Kashmir Center Creative Arts (JKCCA) Jammu group of artists at Surekh Art, Gallery, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Kiran Soni Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary to Art and Culture Government of Rajasthan. The chief guest on the occasion K C Maloo, Chairman, Veena Cassette, Jaipur was the guest of honour and OP Sharma (RAS), MD Bunkar Sangh.
Kiran Soni Gupta appreciated the work of Art displayed in the exhibition from different parts of the country. She hoped that JKCCA will organize more events in the State in future also.
The aim of JKCCA activities is to provide platform to artists of country. In this exhibition 40 paintings of artists from different parts of India have been displayed.
The artists who participated in the exhibition were Triloke Kaul, Ashok Mehra, O P Sharma and Sahil Ohri, Jammu & Kashmir, KS Gill and Dharmindra Sharma, Amritsar, Pritama Singh, Lucknow, Neelima Gupta, Meerut, Shantala Madhu, Bangalore, V S Rahi, Delhi, Nathu Lal Verma, Govind Srivastava, Era Tak, Naina Gupta, Arpitha Singh and Shalini Gupta, Jaipur, Dr Mamta Singh, Dehradun.
The Artists from Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Rajasthan participating in exhibition.
The main attraction of the exhibition was the work of Triloke Kaul, a veterean artist of the Jammu & Kashmir who won National Award from Lalit Kala Academy in the Year 1968, has been displayed in the exhibition.
