JAMMU, Nov 29: Falak Shabir was among galaxy of gold medal winners in the Sanda Cup Wushu Championship which concluded today at M A Stadium, here.
The 3-day Championship was organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Wushu Association, under the overall supervision of its general secretary, Kuldeep Handoo.
The overall trophy of the Championship went to Jodhamal Public School, while Banyan International and District Samba shared second spot and the third place went to District Srinagar. Haqeek Ahmed of District Samba was adjudged best player of the Championship.
H K Lohia was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony, who distributed prizes among the winners, while R P Singh, Principal GD Goenka Public School, Vijay Saraf and Joint Secretaries of J&K State Sports Council, S M Bali and Sidharth Sharma were the guests of honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Nissar Ahmed, Ajay Paul, Arun Singh, Kamal Kishore and Lalit Singh.
Kuldeep Handoo presented vote of thanks after the prize distribution function.
