Father-son charge sheeted for forging certificate

JAMMU, Oct 16: Economic Offences Wing – Crime Branch Jammu today charge-sheeted accused father-son duo for forging a School leaving certificate for Government job.
Charge sheet was filed against Mukhtyar Ahmed of Village- Sunderpur, Tehsil R S Pura (at present Rajiv Nagar Narwal Bala Jammu) and his father Bashir Ahmed, son of Kasim Din, in Case FIR number 26/2023, under section 420/467/468/471/120-B/ RPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu for their involvement in hatching criminal conspiracy in preparing false school leaving certificate and managing a Government job in the Power Development Department of J&K and thereby causing losses to the Government Exchequer.
The matter had come to light after a written complaint in this regard was lodged by one Sarfarz Ahmed of village Sunderpur. On the basis of information obtained from the Chief Education Officer Jammu under Right to Information Act- 2005, Sarfarz had alleged that the school leaving certificate issued in favour of accused Mukhtyar Ahmed son of Bashir Ahmed in the year 1979, was not genuine and admission No.1311 existed in the name of one Nazia Bano daughter of Naseer Ahmed as such the school leaving certificate produced by Mukhtyar Ahmed in the Power Development Department was fake, thereby cheating the PDD J&K by obtaining Govt job in that department.
On receipt of the complaint, a preliminary verification was initiated and the allegations were prima-facie established and subsequently, the instant case was registered for in-depth investigation. Relevant record was seized from concerned School and PDD of J&K, statement of witnesses recorded, circumstantial and other material evidence was gathered against the accused and it was found that the accused Mukhtyar Ahmed in connivance with his father hatched criminal conspiracy in forging /preparing a fake document to seek a Govt job.
