FCC Bhalwal trounces AMCC by 3 wkts

AKHNOOR, June 26: Friends Cricket Club Bhalwal registered a narrow win by 3 wickets over Anu Memorial Cricket Club to move into the next round of the ongoing 4th Pawan Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being organised by Singh Cricket Club, Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School ground, here.
Electing to bat first, Anu Memorial CC scored a modest total of 130 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Vicky scored 32 off 32 balls with the help of 4 boundaries, Anil Kumar contributed 23 off 22 balls, which included 4 boundaries. Bhupinder Singh also contributed 16 runs with 3 boundaries. For Anu Memorial CC, Rohit and Ajay bagged 2 wickets each, while Jatinder Singh and Sangram Singh claimed one wicket apiece.
FCC Bhalwal in reply chased the required target in 18.2 overs by losing 7 wickets and won the match by 3 wickets. Manjeet top scored with 34 off 24 balls, which included 3 massive sixes, while Ashwani and Rohit contributed 27 and 17 runs to the total respectively. Binny took 2 wickets for Anu Memorial Club, while Jatin, Happy and Raghuvir claimed one wicket each. Manjeet was adjudged man of the match.
