FCC lifts Anu Memorial Cricket Cup

JAMMU, July 30: Friends Cricket Club (FCC) defeated Anu Cricket Club in a thrilling contest by one run to lift the title trophy in the ongoing Anu Memorial Cricket Tournament, here today.
Batting first, FCC scored 67 runs in the allotted overs, while in reply Anu Club scored 66 runs and lost the match by just one run and lifted the trophy.
32 teams participated in this tournament which was played on knock-out basis.
Thakur Suram Singh Chib, Rural President PDP was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners up teams.
The winners were presented a cash prize of Rs 15,000 along with a trophy, while the runners-up were awarded with a cash prize of Rs 3000 and trophy. Sarpanch Kot Bhalwal Prabhakar Singh also presented Rs 10,000 to the winning team and Rs 5000 to the runners-up team.
