FCIESU lambasts management for ignoring demands of employees

JAMMU, Sept 18: Food Corporation of India Executive Staff Union (FCIESU) today lambasted the General Manager, FCI, J&K, for ignoring their genuine demands, which it took up with him time and again.
Addressing a press conference here today at Press Club, Regional Secretary, FCIESU, Natha Ram, said that the Union leaders submitted the genuine demands of the employees to the management of FCI in a periodical meeting held here.
He said that the union demanded the management to take action against Manager (Accounts), FCI, DO Srinagar, who is habitual of harassing the employees by misplacing the important papers viz. TA Bills, OTA Bills of the employees working under Srinagar District Office.
He further disclosed that the Union also apprised the management that Manager (Accounts), Srinagar, is also releasing the pay in favour of officials who are absent from last so many months, despite Union’s notice to stop such activities.
“During the meeting with the management, the Union reiterated their demanded of immediately transferring AG-I (Depot) from HK Section DO, Srinagar, who is working on same seat from last more than 20 years, which is against the prescribed service rules of the corporation”, Natha Ram said adding it is clearly mentioned under prescribed rules of FCI Vigilance Manual that every employee of FCI should be shifted/ transferred after every three years from one particular seat.
He warned the FCI management to mend its dictatorial attitude and fulfill the genuine demands of the employees, which the Union has put forth time and again before it (management) in earlier meetings.
He further warned of lodging the protest as per established labour laws if the management failed to fulfill the demands of the employees.
