JAMMU, Mar 30: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Choudhary Zulfkar Ali today announced that the department intends to launch online transparency portal and online redressal mechanism soon for which the concerned officers were asked to finalize pending work at an earliest.
Speaking during a review meeting, the Minister said the Government intends to create a transparent system which will give people clear picture of all kind of works carried out by the department.
He said establishing of transparency portal and creating online redressal mechanism is a step in the direction taken by the department of FCS&CA, adding no lapse in the process would be tolerated.
The Minister expressed his satisfaction while reviewing the work done so far and urged the concerned officers to finalize the minute changes and filter all the technical snags diagnosed during the trial run before officially launching the two.
During the meeting, the Minister directed the officers to freeze the data collected under National Food Security Act (NFSA) of four districts Reasi, Ramban, Samba and Poonch. While for Kashmir province, similar directive was issued for the districts of Anantnag, Budgam, Kulgam and Shopian.
For the rest of the districts in the State, Zulfkar Ali directed the officers to complete the freezing of data before April 10..
Secretary, FCS&CA Shafiq Raina, Special Secretary FCS&CA Nissar Ahmad, Director FCS&CA Jammu, Director, FCS&CA, Kashmir, National Informatics Centre Sunil Kaul and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
