FEF’s concern over delay in placement of foresters

SRINAGAR, Mar 18: The Forest Employees Federation (FEF) has expressed concern over the delay in the placement of senior foresters as in-charge range officers in the department.
In a press release issued here, President FEF, Malik Feroz said that around 60 forest ranges are without the range officers since August 2012. Feroz said that the absence of the rangers is seriously hampering the functioning of the department more so the ranges where the positions of range officers are lying vacant.
Feroz said that a delegation of the forest employees met the Forest Minister, Mian Altaf Ahmad and apprised him of the injustice meted out to the deserving officials following the issuance of order number 48 issued by the department on 31-01-2013. He said by virtue of this order six junior foresters happening to be kith and kin of Ministers and bureaucrats have been placed as in-charge range officers.
