KATRA, Sept 30: Police today arrested a female drug peddler and seized Ganja from her possession when she was smuggling the narcotic to the holy town.
Acting on a specific input, a Police team, including lady Sgct Virta Devi, headed by ASI Puran Chand of Police Station Katra, laid a special naka near PCP Searli and intercepted the accused, identified as Gayatri Devi, wife of Maan Singh of Chamaila Mandi Lots Rajasthan, who was on way to Katra town.
During the frisking, the police team succeeded in recovery of 11 pouches of Polythene containing Ganja (total weighing 60 gms) from her possession. Police arrested the accused and seized the recovered Ganja besides registering a case in this connection under section 8/20 NDPS Act at Police Station Katra.
