Fencer Vansh loses QF in Commonwealth Championship

JAMMU, July 21: Ace Fencer from Jammu and Kashmir, Vansh Mahajan member of Indian Fencing team lost the quarterfinal against Scotland with a narrow margin (41-45) in the Junior Cadet Commonwealth   Fencing Championship held at Cape Town in South Africa.
In an individual event, talented Vansh got 9th rank in the Championship. With this performance, Vansh is now eligible to participate in Asian Championship as well as World Championship.
He is being accompanied by J&K’s Chotu Lal  as coach of the Indian team.
Vansh apart from Chotu Lal attributed the success to Ujjwal Gupta and Rashid Ahmed.
