JAMMU, Oct 20: Fencing team for both men and women for the 37th National Games being held at Goa from October 25 to November 9 were selected here today after selection trials.
A one day selection trials were held by J&K Amateur Fencing Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council at the Fencing Hall, M A Stadium. The selected women Sabre team consisted of Shreya Gupta, Rishika Khajuria, Kritarthi Kotwal and Chabbi Sharma whereas the selected Men’s Sabre team included Vishal Thappar, Javed Ahmed, Amit Chib and Suryansh Sharma. Fencers qualified for individual competition were Vishal Thapar, Riya Bakshi, Jasdev Singh and Rishika Khajuria and Tony Mattoo was selected as team manager.
