RAMBAN, Aug 27: The District Fencing Association Ramban, in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Fencing Association (JKFA), is hosting a five-day Introductory Fencing Coaching cum Awareness Camp here today. This initiative aims to popularize fencing and develop young talent in District Ramban.
The camp will be held at several schools, including Government Higher Secondary School Khari, Government High School Ramsoo, Sky Touch School Nachilana, Adnan Model High School Banihal, Iqbal Memorial High School Banihal, and Playway International School Banihal.
Renowned local fencers, such as International fencer Sufyan Waheed Sohil and others will lead the sessions, focusing on fencing fundamentals and providing exciting activities for young players. The camp emphasizes sports-integrated learning and lifelong fitness. Zahoor Ahmed, President of the District Ramban Fencing Association and Yassar Bali, General Secretary, view this as a significant step towards enhancing sports engagement among youth. The dates for the District Fencing Championship will be announced post-camp.
