JAMMU, Nov 1: All J&K Unemployed Engineers Association (AJKUEA) has urged upon the J&K UT Administration to fill up all the posts of Junior Engineers lying vacant in various departments.
In a meeting of the Association held here today at Jammu, the members discussed various important issues pertaining to unemployed engineering in detail.
Meeting informed that every year the pass out engineers are 15000 approximately and not even a single post has been advertised in any branch – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, E&C, IT and Computer from past 7 years.
“The last advertisement of engineers was in 2013-2014. After this not even single posts of engineers whether gazetted or non-gazetted has been advertised. In 2018 some posts of electrical Junior Engineer and Assistant Electrical engineers were advertised but after sometime the posts were withdrawn, due to which the youth went into depression,” they said, adding that it is duty of UT Government to utilize the genuine power of Engineers in their respective fields.
AJKUEA appealed to the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to personally intervene into the matter and set policy to accommodate large number of unemployed engineers at the earliest by filling up of vacant posts of all engineering wings–Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic and Communication, Information Technology, Computer etc and also demanded that a policy should be framed for private companies to accommodate J&K engineers’ at least in UT projects.
Promient among those present in the meeting included Mukesh Yogi, Basharat Ali, Ayush Mahajan, Shubam Abrol, Meenakshi, Vishal Saini Vikas Koul and Pallvi.
