KARGIL, Feb 28: The finals of the block level tournaments of Khelo India Ladakh Winter Games, 2020 organized by the Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, were held at Drass, Shakar Chiktan and Shargole blocks here.
The matches were played at Ice Hockey Rink Shakar and Shargole and International standard Ice Hockey rink Goshan Drass.
At Drass, the final match was played between Drass Red and Drass Blue in which Drass Red emerged victorious thus sealing berth for the district level contests.
In the block level final match played at Chiktan, United King Zgang defeated USC Samrah and qualified for the district level finals.
Likewise, at Shargole, the final match was played between Pashkum- A and Pashkum-B in which Pashkum-B emerged victorious and sealed their berth for the district level competitions.
Incharge SDM Drass Asgar Ali and District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kargil Muhammad Hussain Rehnuma gave away trophies and prizes to the participating players.
Pertinently, after the district level competitions, 4 best performing teams of men and 2 of women from Leh and Kargil districts will qualify for the Union Territory level tournament to be held in Leh.
