KATHUA Jan 28 : One day financial inclusion programme was organised in Veterinary Hospital, Nagri by National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development to sensitize dairy farmers about development through banking and social sector schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana etc.
The main participants were Vinay Kumar Sawhney, Zonal Head, J&K Bank, Kathua, Aman Kalsotra, AGM (DDM), NABARD, Kathua, J P Singh Talwar, LDM, Kathua, K L Sharma, Area Manager, JKGB, Kathua, Dr.Vijay Kumar, SMS, KVK, Kathua, Sansar Chand, FLCC coordinator, Dr.Umesh, Veterinary Surgeon, Veterinary Hospital, Nagri and dairy farmers of Nagri.
Vinay Sawhney, Zonal Head, JK Bank, Kathua asked them to be entrepreneurial in their life. He asked dairy farmers to avail loan, take advantage of subsidy schemes and develop enterprise. He assured that J&K Bank will be giving all necessary financial assistance to needy farmers and JK Bank supports enterprise creation.
DDM, NABARD briefed them about the importance of financial inclusion and need of opening of saving accounts. He asked them to avail loan for dairy under ADS of NABARD and make Nagri a dairy hub. He informed about the availability of subsidy for SC entrepreneurs under DEDS. He asked them to avail loan and make bio-gas units.
J P Singh Talwar, LDM, Kathua interacted with farmers, clarified issues of farmers related to different banking schemes. He asked all the members to understand business creation and development of enterprise. He asked farmers to take life insurance and accidental insurance for their peace of mind. He also talked about the importance of small saving, micro insurance and need to be careful from fraud.
K L Sharma, Area Manager, JKGB explained the features of ADS approved for districts of Jammu, Rajouri, Samba and Kathua.
