Fire breaks out in chemical factory

JAMMU, Nov 21: A fire broke out in a chemical factory in the Gangyal area today, officials said.

They said the fire possibly erupted due to a short circuit in a thinner manufacturing unit owned by Pankaj Gupta around 11 am.
After receiving information, fire tenders were deployed and officials added that the flames were contained around 2:30 pm.
However, at 4:45 pm, the fire reignited in the factory, but it was brought under control by 6:30 pm, they said.
Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, but other property worth lakhs has been gutted in the blaze.
Police have launched further investigations to know the exact reason of the fire.
