SRINAGAR : Fire damaged administration-cum-admission block of Amar Singh College in Srinagar in the wee hours of Friday.
Fire damaged admission and other records of the college, officials said.
They said fire, which broke out in the block around 0200 hrs, spread immediately to entire building.
Fire tenders were rushed from Fire and Emergency Department (F&ED), Batmaloo and other parts of the city immediately after blaze was reported.
Officials said the whole admission record of the college was damaged in the fire. The AS college is one of the constituent colleges of the Cluster University Srinagar (CUS) and offers admission in undergraduate, integrated PG courses to the students.
The college administration has lodged an First Information Report (FIR) regarding the fire incident. Investigation was on.
