JAMMU, Sept 9: A three-day First Aid training camp for border villages organized at village Jeora in RS Pura by Indian Red Cross Society Jammu and Miran Sahib Brigade under Tiger Division concluded today.
The aim of holding the camp was to spread the awareness of personal safety and immediate succor to needy which is a cause of concern due to prevailing security situations in border villages.
A total of 21 participants including six girls and ladies were trained by the expert doctors of Indian Red Cross Society to save precious lives at the time of need by providing first aid. The participants were given hand on practical training on various methods of first aid.
Brigadier SKS Chauhan, Commander, Miran Sahib Brigade interacted and felicitated all the participants with certificates and first aid kits. A medical camp was also organized for the people of Jeora village.
The locals requested the Indian Army and Indian Cross Society for similar endeavours in future also.
The Brigade Commander assured them that the pilot project of training in ‘First Aid’ will be conducted in maximum border villages in future.
