Five bovines rescued, 2 smugglers held

RAJOURI, Apr 18: Rajouri Police today foiled two bovine smuggling bids and rescued 5 bovine animals.
During routine checking at naka Solki falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Dharamsal, a police team seized two vehicles bearing registration numbers JK20-6287 (Tata mobile) and JK11A-9094 (Tata mobile) and rescued five bovine animals, 2 from first vehicle and 3 from the other one.
The driver of the vehicle number JK20-6287 identified as Ashiq Hussain son of Mohd Sadeeq of Brehvi (Kalakote) along with owner Mukhtyar Hussain alias Billu son of Mohd Hussain of Kharak (Kalakote) as well as driver of other vehicle namely Mushtaq Khan son of Mohd Khan of Kharak (Kalakote) were arrested on the spot.
In this connection, two separate cases under FIR number 39/2024 and 40/2024 u/s 188/IPC 11 PCA Act were registered at Police Station Dharamsal and further investigation started.
The arrests and seizures were made by a team of Police Station Dharamsal led by SHO Vishal Kumar.
