Five injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Feb 17: Five persons were injured today in separate road accidents in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a bike was hit by an unknown vehicle at Muthi area falling within the limits of police station Domana. In the mishap, two youth identified as Mohit (20) son of Rashpal, a resident of Gharota and Tanveer (24) son of Sukhdev Singh, a resident of Krishna Nagar, Jammu, were injured.
In Nandini area falling within the jurisdiction of police station Jhajjar Kotli, a scooty got slipped and two persons travelling on it got injured. While Ganju (21) son of Sansar Chand, a resident of Dandyal (Udhampur) received serious injurious, his brother, Amit Kumar (26) received minor injuries.
In Bishnah area, a motorcyclist identified as Vivek Sharma (22) son of Prem Nath, a resident of Patyari, suffered injuries when his bike collided with a tractor coming from opposite side.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
