PATNA:In the continuing drive against use of black money in the upcoming Assembly polls in Bihar, the Patna police today detained five Kashmiris and recovered Rs 6 lakh cash from their possession during a raid at a posh hotel here.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Shalin told that Patna Superintendent of Police Vikash Vaibhav had been asked to conduct a thorough probe into their visit to the state capital and the reason for carrying such a huge cash.
Shalin said that Income Tax authorities had also been informed about recovery of Rs 6 lakh from their possion.
As it is the security agencies, including flying squads and static surveillance teams, have launched a drive against use of black money in the impending assembly polls in the state beginning on October 12. (UNI)
