FMPHWs meet PCC leader

Jammu, June18: A delegation of female multi-purpose workers led by senior trade union leader Sushil Sudan met the former Health Minister and  senior vice president of J&K PCC Sham Lal Sharma today at his residence and apprised him of the hardships  being faced by female multipurpose workers for non-payment of their salary.
They apprised the PCC leader that they are protesting peacefully for  their  genuine demand, as they are not receiving wages for the past several months and despite assurances by various quarters nothing has been done in the matter. They said that families of most of the female multipurpose workers are dependent on their salaries and they are facing  starvation. They urged the Congress leader to raise their voice in support of their rights.
Sham Lal urged the Govt to immediately release their pending salary and address their grievances keeping in view the great  hardships faced by their families, especially in the wake of high inflation rates, leading to escalation of prices of essential commodities  in many folds.
