SRINAGAR, Oct 9: Defeating strong team of J&K Bank in a tough contest in the semifinals, the formidable team of Food and Supplies sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing State Bank of India Knockout Football Tournament, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association, here.
The players of both the teams displayed superb soccer skills and showed aggression till the last minute of the game. In 36th minute of the match J&K Bank was the first team to score a goal when Rizwan found the net on penalty kick. However, an equalizer came from Food and Supplies when Yaseen netted the ball inside the goalpost in 45th minute, which was followed by another goal by Ifham from Food and Supplies to make it (2-1) and the team kept their lead till the end to script a victory by the same margin.
