JAMMU, Oct 4: Food and Supplies and JKSRTC registered victories in the ongoing State Bank of India Knockout Football Tournament 2013, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at Srinagar.
In the first match, Food and Supplies defeated Kashmir Mughals by four goals to one (4-1) in an easy contest. Irfan, Yaseen Ahmed, Altaf and Afzan scored goals for Food and Supplies in 8th, 36th, 45th and 58th minutes of the match, while Aftab was the lone goal scorer for Kashmir Mughals in 37th minute.
In another match, JKSRTC trounced Iqbal Sports in sudden-death by (5-4) goals.
After a (1-1) tie in the stipulated time, the match was decided in tie-breaker, wherein, JKSRTC prevailed over its rival by (5-4). The goals in the stipulated time were scored by Ghulam Mohammad for Iqbal Sports and Suhail for SRTC.
