JAMMU, May 15: The 44 meter span foot bridge over river Devika in Purmandal sans an approach road to reach the bridge which is 15 feet over the ground level.
According to residents of the area, the foot bridge which was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 55 lakh by PWD sans approach road.
The people visiting the holy Devika had to face problems in reaching the foot bridge to cross the river as the bridge is about 15 feet over the ground level, they alleged.
The residents said that there was no footpath to reach the bridge and people were facing difficulty to cross the river Devika with out proper approach to the bridge.
They said the Surinsar -Mansar Development Authority (SMDA) and PWD pass bucks on each other when people approach them for the construction of approach road.
