Football Academy, Jammu Blue register wins

SRINAGAR, Mar 20: J&K Football Academy and Jammu Blue emerged winners by defeating Jammu Red and AG’s XI in the 17th Jammu and Kashmir Police Martyrs Memorial Football tournament, here today.
The first match was played between Football Academy and Jammu Red wherein Football Academy defeated Jammu Red by 1 goal to nil. Shamsheer Hussain -SSP Commandant JKAP-13th Battalion and Syed Sajad Hussain DySP Sports APHQ J&K introduced the teams as guests. Irham of the winning team was adjudged as man of the match.
The 2nd match was played between Jammu Blue and AGs’ XI wherein Jammu Blue trounced AG’s XI by 4 goals to 2. Rajveer Singh of the winning team was adjudged as man of the match.
The matches were conducted under the supervision of designated jury members, while the matches were witnessed by a reputed former International Footballer Ab. Majeed Kakroo, officials of Football Association and senior officers including Prof. BA Shah, Tournament Director, Nazir Ahmad Bhat HOR, Fayaz Ahmad Sofi president DFA Srinagar, Mohd Shafi Nari (Retd DySP and Ex- International Footballer), Zahoor Ahmad Teli, Bilal Punjabi, Dronacharya Awardee Kuldeep Handoo-Inspector and many others.
The matches were officiated by Farooq Shaheen, Farooq Khan, Muzaffar Ahmad, Hilal Punjabi, Vijay Kumar, Ajay Singh, Abid Najar and Tanveer Ahmad.
Medical team from Police Hospital Srinagar headed by Dr Khalid Parveez Medical Superintendent Police Hospital Srinagar was also present at the venue during the matches.
