JAMMU, Oct 12: To promote the game of Football among the youth of Kathua District, Delhi Public School, Kathua in association with Mehta Football Academy, Barnoti is organizing a free of cost football camp in the school premises for all under-17 football enthusiasts.
This five-day event will start on October 15 and culminate on October 21. The timings will be 1500-1700 hours on weekdays and 0700-0930 hours on Sundays and holidays.
Two vehicles will be utilized to commute from Kathua stadium and Hiranagar stadium to the school and back so that entire district can be covered effectively.
Principal DPS, Nirmal Mahna, briefed that the prime motive of this camp is to provide an expert guidance to all the football playing youth in Kathua. The school has confirmed availability of Arun Kumar Malhotra, Member J&K State Sports Council and Vice Chairman District Sports Council, Poonch, for this event.
Coaches from Mehta Football Academy will assist Arun Malhotra in imparting the required training, knowledge and skill development to the young guns of the district. This event will enable players to understand various aspects of the game and also give them a vision of future in the game. The players will be able to evaluate themselves and a comparative standard will enrich in setting personal benchmark for each individual.
Even though the event is free of cost, the interested participants are required to register for the 5 day camp by October 14 so as to arrange transportation and refreshments on subsequent days.
