Leh, Sept 14: A 3-days Football Referring Refresher course for Physical Education Masters and Teachers of Leh district concluded today at K V School Leh.
Organized by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association in collaboration with District Youth Services and Sports Department Leh, a total of about 35 PET teachers successfully completed the football referring refresher course.
Instructor Referee of All India Football Federation (AIFF) Nazir Ahmad who is the only national level referee from J&K State imparted training about every aspects of football game and made trainee teachers fully aware about 17 Law/Rules of Soccer as per international rules.
Deputy Commissioner, Leh Avny Lavasa who was the chief guest on the concluding function said that referee has a very big responsibility in controlling a game and their curtail role could not be realized while seeing or playing the game unless we ourselves play the role of referee and hoped that such training will prove very fruitful in upgrading the skills of sports teachers in Leh. For progress of different sports in Leh, she stressed on taking initiatives with team work spirit and assured every possible help and support from district administration Leh.
Earlier, briefing about the three days course, Nazir Ahmad said that both boys and girls of Leh has immense potential in football and with proper training and guidance they can excel up to international level.
Later, DC Leh distributed certificates among participating teachers.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Leh Tsering Tashi and Principal KV Leh Punchok Wangial were also present on the occasion.
