Forest Greens XI outplays RCC by 7 wkts

SRINAGAR, Aug 31: Jammu and Kashmir Forests Green XI got better of RCC Srinagar by 7 wickets in T20 match, here today.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, RCC made 117 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in allotted 20 overs. RCC were 6 for 2 in 2 overs but Kafeel and Zahoor added 56 runs to the total before Zahoor was adjudged LBW on 27. Kafeel with 33 and unbeaten 24 by number 8, Umar helped RCC to post a total of 117 on the board.
In reply, Green Forests XI, batted superb and made 121/3 in 16.1 overs, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Left handed batsman, Nayeem played an unbeaten brisk inning of 65 runs in 40 balls with 10 fours and a massive six. He was awarded man of the match. Openers Shahid and Shakeel gave good start to Greens XI by scoring 11 and 16 runs respectively.
Aslam at number 3 didn’t last long and scored just 4 runs, but then Nayeem and Tashir played sensibly to take their side home in just 16.1 overs. Tashir also remained not out till the end on 22 with 3 boundaries.
