JAMMU, Jan 4: Formation of new Council of J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides was discussed in Adhoc Committee meeting which was held under the chairmanship of Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Director General of Youth Services and Sports J&KUT.
The meeting was organised at State Headquarter Bharat Scouts and Guides Gandhi Nagar yesterday wherein Amar B Chettri, Dy Director (Scouts) Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters New Delhi was representing the Chief National Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides.
The important matters regarding development of Scouting & Guiding of both the UT’s (J&K and Ladakh) was unanimously discussed by the Adhoc committee.
Later, Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman was elected as chairman of the Adhoc Committee while Nasreen Khan was elected as State Secretary cum Coordinator for the formation of State/UT Council of both the Union Territories.
Jenab Mohd Younis Malik (KAS), Director School Education, Kashmir (Ex. Vice President cum worthy member of Adhoc Committee was also present in the meeting. Wing Commander MM Joshi presented the vote of thanks.
