KATHUA, July 15: For its failure to initiate the infrastructure development of Sub-District Hospital Hiranagar, a deputation from Hiranagar under the leadership of former MLC Subash Gupta met the DC Kathua Raghav Langer, here on Monday.
Subash Gupta while addressing media said that escalating hardships of public and lackadaisical attitude of the Government towards the redressal of the problems especially health related, had proved to be total failure.
Gupta said that he had apprised Deputy Commissioner that as far as medical facilities at Sub District Hospital concerns are still at blur. Highlighting the lack of facilities he told that the posts of doctors including Physician, Ortho, ENT and Eyes, are lying vacant which are needed to be fulfilled immediately in the interest of public of the Sub Division Hiranagar. X- ray plant in this sub District hospital does not show clear picture and digital X-ray plant needs to be installed in Hiranagar hospital.
Ex-MLC further said that he brought in notice of DC that former Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad announced expansion of 30-bedded hospital, to 100 bedded and as part of this, he released token money of Rs 80 lakh in year 2013, which is lying with the R&B department and still not used for the purpose it was released.
Gupta said that in addition he also apprised DC that a piece of land measuring more than 3 Kanals of Education department adjacent to SDH is lying useless for more than three decades. The said land can be put to use by transferring the same to SDH for the infrastructural development.
Gupta also requested Deputy Commissioner Kathua for early completion of children park opposite Higher Secondary School Hiranagar the work of which was started in the year 2013-14 by the Floriculture department and this Deptt spent more than Rs 10 lakh by constructing one side boundry wall and by filling and leveling.
Gupta said that after listening to their demands with patience DC Raghav Langer had assured of adopting genuine steps on for their redressal.
