SRINAGAR, Sept 9: Fortview FC drubbed Rangreth FC by 3 goals to 1 and Kashmir United FC scripted emphatic win over Etihad FC by 3 goals to nil in the ongoing DFA Srinagar Annual Football League Tournament-21, organised by District Football Association at Synthetic Turf TRC, here today.
Today’s first match was played between Fortview FC and Rangreth FC. It was the dominating performance of Fortview FC against Rangreth FC wherein former played an aggressive Football and defeated the latter by 3 goals to 1 (3-1). Riyaz was the scorer from Fortview FC who scored three goals in the 12th, 35th and 45th minutes respectively, whereas Shahzan from Rangreth FC scored a single goal for his team in the 22nd minute.
The 2nd match was played between Kashmir United FC and Etihad FC wherein boys of Etihad FC delivered a good show in the beginning but could not face the pressure exerted by Kashmir United FC. It was in the 31st minute, Kashmir United FC scored a goal by the mistake of the Etihad FC Goalkeeper.
In the 2nd half, Kashmir United FC pulled their socks and doubled their lead through Zooman, whereas Amit increased the margin by scoring another goal in the 38th minute. However, the young Turks of Etihad FC tried hard to find the net but didn’t succeed and thus lost the match with a big margin of 3 goals to nil.
The tournament is being organized by District Football Association (DFA) Srinagar in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
