Foundation stone laid for Handball Court at DPS

JAMMU, Nov 13: President, Rajput Charitable Trust (founder chairman trustee DPS Jammu), MK Ajatshatru Singh and Kunwrani Ritu Singh, pro-vice chairperson DPS laid foundation stone for Aakanksha Handball Court at Delhi Public School (DPS), here today.
This is a pioneering initiative taken in the memory and recognition of late Aakanksha Gupta, DIPSITE batch 2018-19, an avid handball player. The ‘Shanti Path’ and ‘Bhoomi Poojan’ for the Handball court was done in 3600 square metres multipurpose ground of DPS Jammu wherein the proposed Handball court will be made as per international standards. The ground will also be utilized for football, cricket, volleyball and athletics.
MK Ajatshatru Singh and Kunwrani Ritu Singh reaffirmed their commitment to the holistic growth of the School. They added that their support is not only limited to the developing of the infrastructure for sports utilization, but the School will also provide necessary support to the students from the marginalized sections of the society for meeting their immediate needs and requirements.
The event was attended by some members of Aakanksha’s family, staff members of DPS Jammu and children from the marginalized sections of the society.
