JAMMU, Oct 13: A man who had allegedly consumed some poisonous substance on October 11 expired today while three others made abortive attempts on their lives today at their respective residences in city and its outskirts by using same modus operandi.
“Vijay Kumar (40) son of Om Parkash, resident of Krishna Nagar (Miran Sahib) was admitted here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu on October 11 after he consumed some poisonous substance at his residence”, a police spokesman said, adding, he passed away today at about 3.30 am .
“After conducting post mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter”, he added.
Meanwhile, a woman identified as Nishu Bala (26) wife of Vijay Thakur, resident of Rehari Chungi, a man namely Man Singh (37) son of Bhim Singh, resident of Channi Rama and a woman identified as Deepa Devi (37) wife of Dhuni Chand, resident of Kishtwar, at present residing in Purkhoo area of city outskirts, today allegedly tried to end their lives by consuming some poisonous substances at their respective residences.
“All the three were shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment where their condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in”, the spokesman said, adding, in all three cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
