JAMMU, Sept 8: Four labourers of a cement factory today landed in the hospital after they inadvertently consumed some poisonous substance in their afternoon meal in Mishriwala area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, four labourers of Mehar cement factory situated at Mishriwala, started vomiting minutes after they took their lunch this afternoon. “Seeing their condition deteriorating, the owner of the factory shifted them to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where their condition was stated to be stable”, he added.
He said that the victims have been identified as Sita Ram (33) son of Ganga Ram, Raman Kumar (50) son of Bihari Ram, Rahul Sharma (22) son of Darshan Lal and Deepak Sharma (29) son of Hans Raj, all residents of Kangrail (Mishriwala).
“The concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter”, the spokesman added.
