JAMMU, Feb 15: Bahu Fort Police arrested a fraudster involved in putting notary stamps on affidavits and papers illegally.
As per police sources, an information was received at Police Station Bahu Fort that a person namely Vishal Kumar alias Vicky, son of Naveen Kumar of Link Road, District Jammu who is running a shop by the name of M/s Shiv Computer/Photostat at Rail Head Complex used to put notary stamp on affidavits and papers illegally for his wrongful gain.
Acting over the information, a case under FIR Number 52/2021 under Sections 420, 467 and 473 IPC was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team led by SHO Police Station Bahu Fort Inspector Deepak Pathania reached on the spot and arrested the said person red-handed when he was engaged in selling fake documents to his customers.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
