JAMMU, May 2: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front was held under the chairmanship of its president Shadi Lal Pandita.
During the meeting, the discussions were held in connection with the annual Khir Bhawani Yatra on Zeshtha Ashtami falling on May 26, wherein thousands of pilgrims are likely to participate from Jammu as well as across the country.
It was decided in the meeting that the yatra will proceed from Jammu on May 25 and shall be back on May 28.
While speaking, Pandita demanded free bus services and necessary security arrangements for pilgrims.
He also demanded security and safety of Kashmiri Pandit employees in Kashmir Valley, restoration of religious place (Sharda), composite township near Srinagar city for ensuring dignified rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit migrant community and stern action against separatist forces, who are raising anti-national slogans and waving Pakistani flags.
Among others present were Rajinder Dhar, Inder Ji Labroo, Rattan Lal Bhat, Ramesh Bhat, Vijay Pandita, SL Kar, Hari Krishan, etc.
