JAMMU, Aug 31: The World Women Awakening Organisation (WWAO), in partnership with MIER College of Education (Autonomous) and Sharp Sight Eye Hospital, Jammu, organized a free eye awareness camp and sensitization lecture at Purkhoo (Kote) here today. The event aimed to raise awareness about eye health and provide essential eye care services to the local community.
A team of professionals from Sharp Sight Eye Hospital, Jammu, including Dr. Vipul (Optometrist), Diksha (Assistant to Optometrist), Minali (Assistant Center Manager), Deepak (Assistant Manager Marketing), and Rahul (Executive Marketing), facilitated the camp. The camp was attended by all executive members of WWAO, including National Vice President Sneh Bali, President of the Jammu Chapter Dr. Renu Gupta, Vice President Veenu Khanna, and other distinguished members. Suman Devi, Incharge of the Extension Unit at MIER College of Education, along with students, actively supported the camp.
Dr. Renu Gupta, President of WWAO, welcomed the Sharp Sight team, local leaders, students, and villagers to the event. Minali, Assistant Center Manager at Sharp Sight Eye Hospital, educated the villagers on the importance of eye health, preventive measures, the significance of regular eye check-ups, maintaining good vision through a healthy diet, and the need for timely medical consultation for eye problems. Rajani Devi, the Sarpanch of the village, played a key role in organizing the event and gathering the villagers and also inaugurated the camp.
