JAMMU, Dec 6: Sood Eye Centre in association with Tax Bar Association (TBA) Jammu organized a free eye checkup camp in the Bar room of Excise and Taxation Complex, Railway Head Complex, Gandhi Nagar.
The ophthalmologists from the Sood Eye Centre Dr R D Sood and Dr Rohan Sood were invited for this camp. The members of the Association and the employees of the State Taxes Department attending the free eye check up camp were evaluated for vision (refractive error), eye problem and those requiring surgery were advised surgery.
A total of 100 individuals were screened for eye related diseases and those with minor problems were given specific medicines as well, also professional guidance were given to the patients regarding treatments and managements if they were suffering from cataract and also other eye related diseases.
The camp was organized under the welfare program initiated by the president of the Tax Bar Association with the support of his team mates namely Anil Gupta (senior vice president), Suraj Singh Wazir (vice president), Ankush Sawhney (general secretary) and Pranav Gupta (cashier).
“The objective of the general eye check up was to facilitate early deficiency among members of the Association and provide a tip on caring for and protecting their eyes,” said president of Tax Bar Association, Advocate Sachin Sharma.
