Fresh batch of 1924 pilgrims leave for Amarnath Shrine from Jammu

JAMMU : A fresh batch of 1924 Amarnath pilgrims today left for the holy cave shrine situated in South of Himalayas from here.
“A fifth batch of 1924 pilgrims this early morning left from the Bhagwati Nagar based Yatri Niwas in a convoy of 50 vehicles amid rains,” police here said.
They said that the yatries comprised of 1408 male, 362 females and 154 sadhus.
50 vehicles including LMVs and SRTC buses ferried the yatris to the Kashmir Valley. (AGENCIES)
