Friends XI beat Warriors in inaugural match of PMM T-20 Tourney

KISHTWAR, Dec 11: Friends Eleven registered an emphatic win over Warrior Cricket Club in the inaugural match of 5th Police Martyrs Memorial (PMM) T-20 Cricket Tournament organized by J&K Police under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Chowgan ground, Kishtwar.
The tournament was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kishtwar, Baseer Ahmed Khan in presence of Sanjay Kotwal, District SP, Kishtwar and other District Officers.
In total, 10 teams of Kishtwar are participating in the tournament. The 1st match was played between Warrior Cricket Club and Friends Eleven, Kishtwar.
Batting first, Friends Eleven scored 131 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Chasing the target, Warriors could manage only 126 runs for six wickets and thus lost the match.
Irshad Ahmed of Friends Eleven was declared Man of the Match for his knock of 45 runs.
A huge number of people attended the function and witnessed the inaugural match.
