JAMMU, Apr 2: Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor trounced Singh Challenger Akhnoor by six wickets in the ongoing Friendship Cup, being played at Government Higher Secondary School Ground Akhnoor, here today.
Singh Challenger won the toss and decided to bat first.
Batting first, Singh Challengers scored 195 by losing three wickets in 25 overs. Sny Mahi made brilliant century (107 runs off 74 balls), whereas as Pankaj Kumar scored 34 runs while facing 23 balls and Rajinder Sharma contributed 22 runs off 31 balls. From bowling side, Sunil Bendy, Kr SS Langeh and Stiphen Sotra shared one wicket each.
In reply, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor achieved the set target by losing only four wickets in 22 overs and won the match by six wickets. Deepak Sharma made 98 runs off 65 balls while Sunil Bendy and Jimmy Manni contributed 56 and 11 runs while facing 35 and 12 balls respectively. From bowling side, Sny Mahi, Rajinder Sharma, Sunny Sharma and Danish clinched one wicket each.
Deepak Sharma was declared as man of the match for his outstanding batting.
