NEW DELHI: The Government has decided to procure five Full Body Truck Scanners (FBTS) to be installed on India-Pakistan and Indo-Nepal and Bangladesh borders, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.
Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, in a written reply to question by Dr R Lakshmanan of the Congress said the FBTS will be located at Attari (Indo-Pak Border), Petrapole (Indo-Bangladesh Border), Raxual (Indo-Nepal Border), Poonch-Chakkanda-bagh (Indo-Pak Border) and Uri-Salamabad (Indo-Pak Border) in accordance with the laid down procedure.
The Government, Mr Rijiju said, has issued a Global Tender Enquiry for the procurement of the five FBTS. It is also obtaining various clearances from the respective State Governments and other nodal agencies. (AGENCIES)
