JAMMU, Dec 14: To review the status of redressal of grievances registered with the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell, a meeting was convened in the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell today under the chairmanship of Deputy Secretary, CM Secretariat, Inam-ul-Haq Siddiqui, and Liaison Officer, Imran Malik.
The meeting was informed that in respect of Relief Commissioner Migrants Jammu, all the complaints have been disposed off. The Nodal Officer, Deputy Commissioner Relief, Dr Shubra Sharma, informed that in light of grievances registered in CM’s Grievance Cell, the work with regard to migrant quarters at Muthi and Purkhu has been taken up.
She further added that the matters like issuance of RBA certificates, providing of security to the employees appointed under the PM’s Employment Package and bifurcation of migrant ration card are under process.
The complaints pertaining to the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Jammu have also been resolved in full and the concerned Nodal Officer informed that distribution of new ration cards is also in progress. The disposal of grievances pertaining to the Chief Engineer R&B Jammu and Chief Engineer PHE Jammu was also reviewed and their performance was found satisfactory.
In respect of Municipal Corporation Jammu, the redressal was satisfactory and the Nodal Officer, Subah Mehta, stated that every effort is being made by the Department for identification of parking slots to reduce traffic pressure on the roads as per the directions of the Chief Minister. The Nodal officers of Chief Engineer PDD Jammu and Director RDD Jammu were directed to redress the backlog grievances expeditiously.
In the meeting, Nodal officers of Jammu University, Chief Conservator Forest Jammu, Director Social Welfare Jammu and J&K ERA were also present.
All the Nodal officers have been emphasized to dispose the pending complaints quickly so that dream of Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti who is personally monitoring the public grievances, is realized and public service is ensured with great accountability and services delivery.
