SRINAGAR, June 4: Minister for Rural Development, Abdul Haq today said that funds under 14th Finance Commission released by the Centre, have been transferred to Panchayat accounts and guidelines were issued to the concerned to formulate action plans in consultation with Gram Sabhas and local MLAs.
Replying to supplementaries to the main question of Haji Mumtaz Ahmad Khan, the Minister said that under 14th FC, the Government has created assets of 800 foot bridges and 9 thousand kilometers of road length across the State.
Abdul Haq informed the House that two roads and 488 paths have been taken up and executed in Gulab constituency during 2015-16 under various Rural Development Schemes. He also said the construction work of road from Ranglai-Dewal is in progress and against the total road length of 6.25 kms earthwork of 4.57kms has been completed at a cost of Rs 36 lakh.
Chaudhary Mohammad Akram, Mohammad Akbar Lone, Engineer Abdul Rasheed, Raja Manzoor, Ishfaq Jabbar, Nawang Rigzin Jora, MY Tarigami, Mohammad Amin Bhat and Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen raised supplementaries to the main question.
