JAMMU, Sept 9: Showing extraordinary skills, talented cueists Furkan Wani, Manik Sharma, Rohit Chib and Stanzin Stobdan have entered the last four stage as the semifinals lineup has been drawn in the ongoing Junior Snooker Championship, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here.
In the quarterfinals, Furkan Wani defeated Dinesh Bhagat (2-0) by 71-29, 60-20; Manik Sharma drubbed Deepak Kumar (2-0) by 70-36, 72-65; Rohit Chib got the better of Arjun Singh (2-1) by 40-64, 63-53, 41-31 and Stanzin Stobdan beat Ananya Mahajan (2-1) by 59-13, 09-53, 39-24.
In other matches of the day, Babloo Thakur defeated Furkan Wani (2-0), Deepak Kumar beat Sankalp Soni (2-0), Dinesh Bhagat drubbed Malkeet Singh (2-0), Aman Sharma trounced Sudhanshu Gupta (2-0), Manik Sharma outplayed Abhishek Kundan (2-0), Rohit Chib outclassed Akshay Verma (2-1), Akshit Sharma got the better of Shuvanshu Manhas (2-0), Arjun Singh prevailed over Zulfkar Ali Khan (2-0), Rohit Chib beat Aman Sharma (2-0), Stabdan Stanzin outclassed Prathmesh Sharma (2-1), Arjun Singh defeated Akshit Sharma (2-0) and Ananya Mahajan drubbed Nipun Gupta (2-0).
