JAMMU, Feb 7: In the much publicized PIL highlighting alleged hushing up of Rajouri Development Authority scam, the General Administr-ation Department (GAD) on the directions of the Division Bench of the State High Court has appointed Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner/ Secretary to Government Public Works (R&B) Department as Inquiry Officer to look into the acts of omission and commission attributed to the then Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Javed Khan, who is presently posted as Excise Commissioner J&K.
The Inquiry Officer has been directed to submit his report within a period of one month.
Further vide Govt. Order No.101-GAD of 2018 dated 16-01-2018 the GAD has further appointed Gulzar Ahmed Dar, Additional Secretary Tourism Department as Presenting Officer for presenting Articles of Charge/Case on behalf of Disciplinary Authority upon Mohammad Javed Khan.
According to Govt. Order No.1661-GAD of 2017 dated December 27, 2017 the verification conducted by SVO revealed that Mohammad Javed Khan the then CEO RDA has not deducted service tax on several works executed departmentally.
