UDHAMPUR, July 2: J&K Gaddi Sabha has demanded the Government to restore road connectivity to Mata Chaumunda Deulla Temple so that devotees from all over the State could come and pay obeisance at the ancient temple.
The demand was raised by the delegation of J&K Gaddi Sabha, during its tour to far flung areas of Tehsil Billawar and Bani in a public meeting.
The meeting was attended by about 500 people from the nearby areas. During the meeting, it was observed that even after 66 years of independence, there is no road connectivity to the ancient temple. Moreover, there is no medical facilities and no arrangement for lodging of the yatries due to which hundreds of pilgrims have to spend the night under the open sky.
The meeting unanimously passed a resolution, where in it was demanded to restore road connectivity to the ancient temple, construction of sarai for the pilgrims, opening of first aid centre at Deulla and Majanu and opening of Primary Health centre at Dhagger.
