Gambling den busted; 10 arrested with Rs 1.13 lakh stake money

JAMMU, Feb 7: Janipur Police busted a gambling den with the arrest of 10 persons along with Rs 1.13 lakh stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Janipur led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali conducted raid near Patoli Morh and busted a gambling den with the arrest of 10 persons along with Rs 1.13 lakh stake money and playing cards.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohammad Yousuf, son of Ghulam Mohi Din of Badgan, Lucky Kumar, son of Joginder Kumar of Mishriwala, Tilak Raj, son of Dharam Chand of New Plot Jammu, Waryam Singh, son of Kehar Singh of Bathindi, Sumshad, son of Anu Din of UP at present Laxmipuram Chinore, Raj Kumar, son of Joginder Lal of Janipur near High Court, Amit Verma, son of Kundan Lal Verma of Sarwal, Skinder Mulla, son of Jamwal Mulla of Jain Bazaar Jammu, Kemti Lal, son of Gian Chand of Chinore Laxmipuram Chinore and Tilak Raj, son of Shanker Dass of Majalta Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 12/2021 under Section 3/4 Gambling Act has been registered against the arrested gamblers and investigation started.
