JAMMU, Jan 7: Game Changers XI and Lalitaditya Sports Club registered wins against their opponents and entered in the next round of the ongoing New Year T20 Cricket League, played at KC Sports Ground, here today.
The league is being jointly organized by Veterans Cricket J&K and KC Sports Club Jammu, supported by J&K Police and sponsored by Narayana Hospital Katra, Horizon Group, Game Changers and KC Sports Club.
In the first match, batting first, Jammu Vishals XI scored 95 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 16 overs. Rajesh Gill scored 30 runs while Istiaq made 15 runs. From the bowling side, Raman, Yogesh and Divansh took 2 wickets each and Aman took 1 wicket.
In reply, Game Changers chased the target in 12.3 overs by losing only one wicket thus winning the match by 9 wickets. Samarpit made 38 runs, Janveer scored 31 runs and Gourav contributed 10 runs. From the bowling side, Rajesh Gill took the only wicket for his team. Smarpit was declared as man of the match.
In another match Lalitaditya Sports Club defeated KC Sports Club. Batting First, KC Sports Club scored 77 runs by losing all wickets in 14 overs, wherein Amit made 18 runs and Jonty scored 17 runs. From the bowling side, Rohit took 4 wickets, Dheeraj took 3 wickets while Guptil took 2 wickets and Dalip took 1 wicket.
In reply, Lalitaditya Sports Club chased the target in 13.2 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Vinod scored 17 runs, Manoj and Sameer contributed 12 and 11 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Kanan took 4 wickets, Ayan and Arzoo took 1 wicket each. Rohit was declared as man of the match.
